Western Girls Soccer 4 vs Quincy 0

Western girls soccer hosted Quincy for their home opener. Western out-shot Quincy 24 to 0. Quinn Natschke started Western off with the first goal of the game. Her shot came from about 20 yards out. She shot it right over the Quincy goalies hands. Jackie McAninch assisted Quinn’s goal. The next goal came from a corner kick served from Kristy Bowden right to Madi Barne’s head. It was a beautiful service with a great finish in the back of the net. The next goal was scored again with a pass from Kristy Bowden to Madi Barnes. Madie Barnes beat her defender and took a right footed shot. Western would finish the half ahead 3-0.  Western worked hard in the second half to create space to attack in. Quincy packed the 18 making it difficult to score. Western did find one more goal. Madi Barns again beat her defender around the corner and slotted the ball to Anna Reed, who placed it in the back of the net. The final was 4-0. Western will travel to East Lansing on Saturday for a tournament.
