Girls Varsity Soccer · Varsity Soccer Defeats Jackson High!

Western 3 vs Jackson High 0

On Monday, May 13th, the Western Girl’s Soccer team traveled to Jackson High to square of with a long time rival. Western came out ready to play. We kept possession of the ball and forced J-High to kick long balls at our defense. Western out shot Jackson High 13-4.  Western’s first goal game from a Grace Hobson selling out in the box. Grace left her feet in a scramble to put it away. The second goal was scored by Kyndall Lewis. The keeper left a rebound and Kyndall was there to clean it up. The last goal started with a great pass from Grace over the J-High defense right into Kristy Bowden’s stride. Kristy was in 1 v. 1 with the keeper to put the last goal in. The team really played well tonight. They passed and worked well together. I am really proud of the outcome tonight. Western will travel to Lumen Christi to play the last conference game and the last game of the regular season. We will start the I-8 Tournament on Friday.
Attached is a photo of both teams after the game.
