On Friday and Saturday the Panthers Girls Tennis Team made history in 3 ways at States…first by collecting the most points ever at States – 8 (previous record was 4); secondly, the team finished #11 in the state (previous high was #14); Tavia Hess at 4 Singles was a semi-finalist (first time anyone has been in the semi-final). Tavia lost to the eventual champion.
Here are some other stats to back up this historic season for the Panthers:
#11 in the State – previous high ranking was #14 in 2010
8 points at State – previous high points was 4 in 2016 and 2010
8 points at States this year = total amount of points won in previous 8 seasons
8 points at States this year is almost half of all the points we have ever received in total at States in previous years (17)
