Panthers News · Cross Country Defeats Jackson High!


On Saturday the boys and girls cross country teams hosted the Jackson High Vikings for the first ever dual meet between the two schools. The teams raced on the most difficult 5K course in Jackson County.

In the boys race, senior Logan Coleman led the way for the Panthers with a second place finish and overall time of 18:49. Junior AJ Eichenberg (13th, 20:49) and sophomore EJ Pendergrass (17th, 21:59) broke in the top 7 runners on varsity as well.

In the girls race, the Lady Panthers won with a low team score of 24 to 33, led by junior Alyna Lewis who won the race in 21:09. Freshman Natalie Coleman broke into the top 7 with an 11th place finish in 24:37.
