Panthers News · Meet the Panthers TONIGHT!


Good Afternoon,

Come out and support the Panthers as we kick off the winter sports season at the annual Meet the Panthers night on Monday, November 20th (6:30-8:30).
This is a fun event for the entire community. Varsity teams are introduced and then perform a dance routine, followed by basketball competitions and multiple “Minute to Win It” challenges that you will not want to miss. The evening concludes with a staff vs varsity basketball game with female staff members taking on the varsity girls team and male staff members squaring off against the boys varsity team.
Raffles will be held throughout the evening as well with items such as a drone, Firestick, Soundbar and multiple Western sports packages being up for grabs (pictures included). 1 ticket for $2, 3 tickets for $5 or 15 tickets for $10 (can be purchased in the athletic office during the day on Monday).

Time: 6:30 – 8:30
Cost: $3 (no passes accepted)

Meet the Panthers

Monday, November 20

6:30 – 8:30 PM

Panther community, we invite you to join us for an exciting evening to kick off the winter sports season. Admission is $3. All varsity sports teams will be introduced followed by a dance competition, basketball contests and the Staff vs Varsity basketball game. Fans will have the opportunity to enter the three-point, free throw and dunk contest for $2.

Traverse City West’s Anika Dy was named Miss Golf for the second time by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association – Traverse City Record-Eagle

 

Cross Country:

Coldwater’s Shuaib Aljabaly and Lansing Catholic’s Olivia Theis were named Mr. Cross Country and Miss Cross County, respectively, by the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association – Coldwater Daily Reporter

 

Hockey:

2. Hamilton standout Paige Kuhn is banking on a strong finish in the final meet of her high school career – Holland Sentinel

3. Gaylord sophomore Grace Wambier is a school record holder and hopes to add to her accomplishments at the Division 3 Finals – Gaylord Herald Times

4. No. 7 Brighton is aiming to claim the Division 1 team championship with arguably its strongest assemblage of experienced contenders under coach Jason Black – Livingston Daily Press & Argus

 

Boys Soccer:

Multiple Teams · 7th Grade B Boys Basketball Defeats Pennfield


The 7th grade B team went on the road to Pennfield and came home with a 34-24 victory to improve to 4-1 on the season. Jack Harris led the team to victory with an outstanding game running the point.  He had 11 points, 9 steals, and 7 steasls. Ethan Wagner, the Beast, dominated the boards with 27 rebounds. Cooper Tinnermon played great defense with 7 steals.  Nate Gilmore scored 8.

Multiple Teams · 8th Grade B Boys Basketball Defeats Pennfield


The eighth grade B team improved to 3 and 2 last night against Pennfield with a win 56 to 42.  Leading the way offensive was Colin Shirkey with 15 and Austin Childs with 13.   Hitting the boards for the panthers were Brendan Mulchahy with 14 and Austin Childs with 13.   The team defense was the key to the game with 29 total steals.  Now on to Harper Creek on Monday.

Multiple Teams · 8th Grade A Boys Basketball Defeats Pennfield


The 8th grade A team beat Pennfield at home 54-32 to improve to 2-3 on the season. It was a great team effort on the defensive end. The key to the game was domination of the defensive glass, and limiting second shot opportunities.. We had 3 guys with double figure rebounds , lead by Jack Herrington with 14, Dominic Honsinger with 11, and Trent Schnebelt had 10.  Aidan Robinson and Cole Wilcox played great on both ends and lead us in scoring. Brody Giroux brought great energy off the bench and chipped in with 10 points. We play at Harper Creek on Monday.

Multiple Teams · 7th Grade A Boys Basketball Defeats Pennfield in Double OT!


The 7th grade “A” team won their third game of the season 47 – 45 in a thrilling double overtime victory at Battle Creek Pennfield.

Wyatt Robinson and Nick Hodshire played a strong defensive game.  Caden Oliver led the team with 15 points, Caiden Iocca 13 and Fox Mannor 11, respectively.
