JV Tennis

Western’s girls JV tennis team played against Hillsdale on April 12.  Western beat Hillsdale 4-3, due to not having a 4th singles match. Winners were; #1 singles, Cierra Churchwell 6-0,6-0 #2 singles, Tori Vainner 6-1,6-0 #3 singles, Rose Gilbert 7-6, 6-1 #2 doubles, Hannah Nichols and Alyssa Putnam 6-3, 7-5 #3 doubles team of Joanie

Women’s Track and Field

Girls Soccer

The girls varsity soccer team traveled to Portage northern last night & lost a hard fought game 8 – 0.  With the Huskies recording 28 shots on goal Korynne Kik came up with some great saves throughout the night. The team heads to Marshall this Saturday for the Marshall Invitational with their firs game starting

Varsity Tennis

Mass Sports Physicals Date: Wednesday, May 9th & Thursday, May 10th Time: 4:00pm – 7:00pm (both nights…if we still have a line at 7pm, we will stay until everyone gets through.) Cost: $20.00 per physical Location:  Auxiliary Gym/Boys & Girls PE locker rooms (used for physician’s exam).

JV Baseball Splits with BC Lakeview

The Western JV boys baseball team got off to a rocky start Wednesday when they traveled to Lakeview High School. JV Boys Golf (Cascades Invite Results)

The JV Boys Golf Team posted a 421 team score yesterday at Cascades Golf Course in the County JV Invitational.  Leading the Young Panthers was Jared Lamberson with a 98, followed closely by Nick Dobbin’s 102.  Coletrane Lewis and  Hunter Gilbertson rounded out the scoring with a 110 and 111 respectively.

Girls Varsity Soccer Defeats Manchester 8-2

The girls varsity soccer team came out with an 8 – 2 victory over Manchester last night to bring their record to 1 – 1 – 1.  Alyssa Joseph led the team knocking in 4 goals while Allison Ulstad added two goals off long distant shots. Also scoring for the Panthers were Libby Ellis and Jessica Schempf

JV Girls Tennis Defeats Williamston

Western’s JV Tennis played Williamston yesterday at home.  I am happy to report Western was victorious with a score of 5 -3. Winners playing in single matches were; Emily Marsh, 1st singles, won in a tie breaker 8-7 Cierra Churchwell, 2nd singles, won 8-0 Winners playing doubles matches were; 2nd doubles- Morgan Bartell and Rose

Girls Middle School Track vs Columbia Central

The Western Middle School girls track team crushed the golden eagles of Columbia Central with a score of 90 to 43 at last nights meet.  Although the weather was a bit cold the track was flaming hot with many wins from the panthers.  The day started off great with 1st place finishes from Rebecca Maynard
