Varsity Soccer Shuts Out Harper Creek 1st Round Districts!

The Western Panthers soccer team hosted Harper Creek Tuesday night in the first round of District play. The Western Men’s Soccer team finished their regular season Thursday night with a victory over Hastings, 5-1.  They finished their season with an 11-7-2 record. Varsity Soccer Ties Lumen

Western tied Lumen Christi 1-1 in I-8 conference play Tuesday night. Western scored on a good combination play from Fabian Koehler to Trey Cottingham. The Panthers possessed the ball throughout the night, but couldn’t overcome a tightly played defensive line by Lumen. Western plays at Leslie Thursday in a non-conference game.

Varsity Soccer Battled Kalamazoo Central

Western hosted Kalamazoo Central Saturday night in the Panther Bowl.  A well played game on both sides of the ball, but the victory went to Kalamazoo Central 2-1. Varsity Boys Soccer Ties Coldwater!

Western hosted Coldwater Thursday night in soccer. After a weather delay, the game ended in a 1-1 tie.  Both teams scored in the first half, Western first, with a goal by senior Sawyer Watterson. The Panthers played excellent team soccer, with notable games from Ethan Zuke, David Duston, Trey Cottingham, Keegan Wensley, and Daniel Duston.

The Western Panthers traveled to meet a good Marshall team Tuesday night in conference play.  The final score was in favor of Marshall 5-2.
