The Varsity volleyball team traveled to Mt Pleasant on Saturday to compete in their first and only Saturday quad. The Panthers first took on the home team Mt Pleasant defeating the Oilers 25-22, 25-15, 18-15. Next the girls defeated Alma 25-13, 25-22, 25-19. Lastly Western battled Haslett and took the clean sweep winning 25-22, 25-20, 25-11.

The 2019 volleyball season came to an end in the regional finals of the state tournament but not before the twenty school records were broken. This record breaking team finished the season 44-5-1, which is the best in school history. No other volleyball team has ever competed in the regional finals before and the girls played their hearts
The varsity volleyball team traveled to Onsted one more time to take on the Vikings of Lakewood. Lakewood is ranked number two in the state and the panthers battled every second of the match. It was a back and forth game but unfortunately Western fell short in five games 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 14-25 and 9-15.
